Brief Introduction about main academic achievements and key publications

Professor Ruihua Nie is the academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province (China), the council members of the Chinese Committee of International Water Resources Association (IWRA) and the League of Science and Technology Innovation for Changjiang Rehabilitation and Protection. He is serving as the Deputy Secretary-General of Sichuan Hydraulic Engineering Society. He has led and participated in over 80 research projects, including two National Key R&D Projects, three Key Programs and four General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and over 30 National Key Engineering Research Projects. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers in journals such as Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology and Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, etc. He has obtained 12 patents and four software copyrights. He has been awarded several prizes of Science and Technology Progress (STP), including three STP Prizes of Ministry of Education of China (one First Prize and two Second Prizes) and two STP Prizes of Sichuan Province (one First Prize and one Second Prize).
