Brief Introduction about main academic achievements and key publications:

Zongzhi Wang is full professor of NHRI and Hohai University in the field of Catchment Hydrology and Water resources management since 2016. His international experience includes a research position at Civil engineering and environmental department, University of Illinois at Urbana and Champaign (America) as a senior visiting scholar. In 2008 he, as a co-Pi, has received a research grant funded by the Ministry of Water Resources, China, which aimed to develop the DSS of integrated basin water resources management by introducing advanced technology Waterlib2.0 from Germany. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 full papers, 4 monographs and 13 invent patents. And he is reviewer for several journals related to water resources management, such as Journal of Water resources planning and management, Water resources management and Journal of Hydrology as well as for research foundations and universities, including the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the national key research and development plan of China. He currently supervises 3 PhD student and 6 master students.  In his currently position as deputy director of department he is also responsible for a group working on hydrological theory research and modelling coupled human and nature system. He is or has been involved in numerous research and consulting projects in the field of flood risk management and integrated water resources management, including 4 projects of NSFC, more than 10 Projects of Ministry of Science and Technology (China) and Ministry of Water Resources (China). He has received 1 national level and 5 provincial level scientific and technical awards and was named Jiangsu province young and middle-aged academic leaders in 2013 and 2018.
