Brief Introduction about main academic achievements and key publications

Bin Yong received the Ph.D. degree (successive master-doctor program) in cartography and geography information system from Nanjing University, Nanjing, China, 2008. He is currently a Professor with the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering, Hohai University, Nanjing, China. He has authored/coauthored more than 100 papers on journals related to remote sensing and hydrology. He has been invited to give keynote lectures in several international conferences about satellite precipitation and its hydrologic applications. His research interests include remote sensing retrievals, satellite-based precipitation, and surface water and hydrological system analysis. Prof. Yong is currently an Associate Editor for the Journal of Hydrometeorology.
