Brief Introduction about main academic achievements and key publications

Dr. Jiahong Liu is the assistant director of water resources department, China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR). He majored in water resources and urban hydrology. He has presided over the scientific research projects supported by Excellent Young Scholar Fund and State Key Program of NSFC, etc. He has made many innovative contributions in urban hydrology, such as the evolution and driving mechanism of urban water cycle, the mechanism of rain-runoff and overflow on the complex underlying surfaces in urban areas, the mechanism of water demand and consumption for different canopies in urban areas, modelling the urban hydrological response coupled with hydrodynamic processes, the integrated regulation for urban water system, etc. His innovative findings and technologies have been applied in the construction of Beijing sub-center, Beijing Daxing International Airport, which earn him many praises from the construction command. He has published more than 80 papers that indexed by Science Citation Database (Web of Science). He also has obtained more than 10 national invention patents.  He has won many national and provincial awards, including one national first prize for scientific and technological progress, and four provincial awards of first prize, etc. In addition, he was awarded the China Youth Science and Technology Award, the Fund of National Youth Talent Support Program, the Excellent Youth Science and Technology Award of Ministry of Water Resources, etc.
