Brief Introduction about main academic achievements and key publications
Prof. Jianshi Zhao is the Vice Dean of School of Civil Engineering and the deputy director of Center for International Transboundary Water and Eco-Security, Tsinghua University, China. He got his Bachelor’s (1998) and Doctor’s (2003) degrees from Tsinghua University. He worked for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant from 2009 to 2010. His major is related to forecast-based reservoir operation, water resources management, and optimization in water systems. He has published over 100 papers in top international and Chinese journals, including Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology, and Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management. These papers focused on the topics of catchment hydrology, forecast uncertainties, hedging rules of reservoir operation, and agent-based modelling. Currently, he is the Specialty Editor in Chief of Frontiers in Water and associate editor of Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management.
